Happy Birthday, Keep The Faith #SOL17

Today is an extremely important day!  Yes, I know it is Texas' Independence Day, but that isn't why I celebrate.

Yes, I know it is also know it is Read Across America to celebrate Seuss' birthday, and though I love to read, that isn't why today holds a special place in my heart.

About thirty one years, yes 31 years, ago, a young 13 year old Mandy fell in love with a gorgeous man who would long rock my heart.  Even though he told others "She Don't Know Me," I thought he was amazing.  My heart was burning at 7800 Fahrenheit.

He was In and Out of Love.  However, his Bad Medicine drew me to him instantly. The Price of Love was sharing him with other girls from Texas to Tokyo Road.  My parents had taught me not to be a Runaway, so I admired from afar, Burning For Love.

I have been Livin' On A Prayer that one day he would realize that This House Is Not For Sale and that we should Let It Rock.  So, today, I celebrate that my boyfriend, Jon Bon Jovi, was Born to Be My Baby!

Happy Birthday, Jon!  You know that I'd Die For You and I'll Never Say Goodbye!

Keep The Faith!

  1. Love your ode to Bon Jovi! I had his records as a preteen but confess I like the clean cut version so much better! Fun slice!
