SOLC #4 I need to believe,,,,
It is Wednesday, and this has already been a tough week. I was looking for inspiration everywhere.
Love the inspiration quote today! This blog is one of my spare moment joys. So thankful for friends who are walking this path with me.
"Guard well your spare moments. They are like uncut diamonds. Discard them and their value will never be known. Improve them and they will become the brightest gems in a useful life." -Ralph Waldo Emerson
I was also inspired by this blog post and this book
http://simplylearningtogether.blogspot.com/2015/01/slice-of-life-creed.html
to write a creed about my life experiences. After the few days that I have had, I feel like I need to write what I believe....so....here goes!
I believe in God.
I believe that He made me for a purpose.
I believe that I am here to do His work.
I believe in love.
I believe in His plan.
I believe tears are healing.
I believe that teaching is a precious gift.
I believe in children.
I believe in asking questions.
I believe in wonder.
I believe in my family.
I believe laughter binds people together.
I believe in the people.
I believe my friends are the best.
I believe there is good in our world.
I believe.
I still believe.
I believe in you Mandy! You are always inspiring me and others to be better!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I read this part of Brown Girl Dreaming I was mesmerized. Mentor text is such a powerful tool for writers. Your "I believe list" inspires me to write my own. I feel certain we would have several similar belief statements.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is beautiful Mandy. I need to write my own as well. Sometimes we lose track of what we believe....I needed a reminder
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful, inspiring creed. You've inspired me to do the same. Thank you.
